PARMESAN CHICKEN







Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients:

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

2 Tablespoon Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts (4 breasts 1/4 lbs each)


Directions:

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Mix parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and seasonings in a medium mixing bowl.

Fully dip each chicken breast in the mixture.

Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a non-stick baking sheet.

Bake approx 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken has reached an internal temperature of at least 145° F.


Notes:

Avoid over-cooking to keep the chicken juicy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you thought this was going to be a recipe for chicken parm, not some healthy chicken dish without all the sauce and cheese. If you are really that disappointed, cover the cooked chicken with marinara and provolone cheese and put it under the broiler until the cheese is melted. There. Chicken parm.

Make your own seasoned breadcrumbs by adding oregano, basil, thyme and garlic powder (or your favorite Italian seasoning blend) to some panko. Easy.
