Las Lomas, California is a tiny town of just over 3000 souls, nestled in the hills of northern Monterey County.
Located on the northwest edge of the Elkhorn National Marine Estuary and just a few miles from central coast of the Monterey Bay, the town is reminiscent of a tiny Mexican village.
Proximity to the harbor in Moss Landing makes it easy to find the freshest seafood. The harbor is the home of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). Kayakers flock to the area to enjoy the birds, otters, whales, and other wildlife unique to the Elkhorn Slough and the Monterey Bay.
The lovely photos displayed here were taken by William and Carol Duemler within a scant mile of their home in Las Lomas, and during frequent visits to the harbor in Moss Landing.
