Stillwater Cove is a quiet inlet on the shore of the famed Pebble Beach golf resort on the central coast of California in the Monterey Bay.
There are days when the heart-shaped Stillwater Cove barely has a pulse. The glassy waters are a sanctuary for paddle boarders and kayakers, who glide between enchanting kelp forests, cute sea otters and playful seals and dolphins.
Stillwater Cove is a protected inlet between Pescadero Rocks and Arrowhead Point. In golfing directions, it’s the drop-dead backdrop between the 7th and 17th holes, royally announcing one of the greatest four-hole stretches in the game: Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7. (Perhaps that stretch is only rivaled by grouping Nos. 7, 8, 9 and 10 together, instead.)
The shallow Stillwater Cove is protected by the jutting Pescadero Point — which is actually home to Ghost Tree and some of the largest waves in the world.
