Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) were introduced to the HTML development toolkit in 1996. Instead of having to include style instructions in the code of every page, developers could control web styles in one file that would apply across their entire website.
Since 2008, more than 1200 new features have been added to the CSS standard which, combined with html and javascript, make it an incredibly flexible means to create vivid, engaging websites for developers of all skill levels.
