Chromesthesia

Chromesthesia, or sound-to-color synesthesia, is a type of synesthesia in which sound involuntarily evokes an experience of color, shape, and movement. The clavier à lumières ("keyboard with lights") was a musical instrument invented by Alexander Scriabin. Mads Stoumann put them together for this fascinating page to help synesthesiac developers pick an appropriate color.
